Lendlease to commence construction on a boutique residential offering in Richmond

Melbourne, 9 December 2021: Lendlease has marked the launch of Gramercy Terraces in Richmond with a sod-turn and smoking ceremony.

Gramercy Terraces are part of a new boutique offering for Lendlease Retirement Living and will form part of the broader intergenerational living precinct in Melbourne’s inner-city, on the well-known Bendigo and Khartoum streets in Richmond

Developed by Lendlease and built by Balmain & Co, Gramercy Terraces comprises 31 three to four level freehold homes with three or four bedrooms, offering a sanctuary within the inner city through full voids that cascade natural light along with backyards and rooftop terraces with city views.

The new homes form the residential component of the precinct and will neighbour Ardency Kennedy Place, Lendlease’s five-star luxury retirement living community currently under construction.

The architectural design draws inspiration from the iconic Federation-era red brick of Bendigo Street and pays homage to the former site of the Nine Network studio and the Wertheim Piano factory, Victoria's first piano factory.

The precinct will target a 6 Star Green Star Communities rating from the Green Building Council of Australia, representing a world standard in sustainable design.

Gramercy Terraces’ urban location boasts walkability and transit scores stemming from its prime location within walking distance to the Yarra River and the tram and train services of Swan Street and Bridge Road.
Gramercy Terraces offer the final opportunity to purchase a terrace home in the heritage precinct, with only a few houses for sale remaining. The Display is open and available to book a private appointment seven days a week. Visit gramercyterraces.com.au for more information.

Quote attributable to Nathan Cockerill, Managing Director, Retirement Living, Lendlease:

“Gramercy Terraces are part of a new product offering for Lendlease Retirement Living. They add the residential component of our intergenerational living precinct in Richmond and will neighbour Ardency Kennedy Place, our luxury, independent retirement living community currently under construction, and a future aged care site is also planned to offer a continuum of care for residents as their needs increase.

“Purposefully designed with families, couples, downsizers and investors in mind, the new offer is proving popular with the first stage nearly sold out and the final stage set to launch early next year.”
