New Community Centre for Lendlease’s Buderim Gardens

27 June 2018

Sunshine Coast, 8 August 2019: Residents of Buderim Gardens celebrated the official opening of its new $5 million community centre today, heralding a bright future for the village and its residents.

Built with sustainability and adaptability in mind, the architecturally-designed centre includes power and thermal features to reduce energy consumption as well as a multi-functional space with moveable walls.

Residents will enjoy a huge kitchen with café style seating, two outdoor decks overlooking the lake, movie, billiards and craft room, library, gym, outdoor pool with a shady space for outside yoga, meditation, stretch classes as well as a large auditorium for bigger gatherings and dance classes.

Quotes attributable to Managing Director of Lendlease Retirement Living, Tony Randello

“We’ve worked closely with the residents to create a facility that everyone can be proud of and delivers a range of impressive features.

“The single level centre has been designed to reflect the Sunshine Coast lifestyle, with expansive terraces optimising the lake and rainforest outlook and to maximise air-flow and natural light, creating comfortable spaces with energy efficiency in mind.

“The new community centre is a social hub that encourages connection, collaboration and engagement, which is what our retirement communities are all about.

“Buderim Gardens celebrates its 50th anniversary next year and I look forward to the village evolving with the future in mind, while remaining true to its heritage and strong community values.”
