Our vision for sustainable communities

We aim to provide Australia’s most sustainable retirement villages, where residents can live fulfilling lives while also partnering with us to protect the planet. By living sustainably, residents can connect with nature, foster social connections, and experience a greater sense of purpose. We as a business recognise our responsibility to reduce our carbon footprint, minimise waste, and conserve resources in all aspects of our operations.

We’re about more than bricks and mortar. Our retirement villages and the communities within them are designed for people and the planet to thrive. Our mission: to create connected, resilient neighbourhoods that provide healthy and vibrant spaces for everyone involved.

To achieve this, we're taking action to reduce our impact on the environment in our operations. Imagine a place where residents can live in harmony with nature, surrounded by lush green spaces and sustainable infrastructure. That's exactly what we're striving to create—an environment that supports sustainable living while embracing the beauty of the natural world.

But it doesn't stop there. We prioritise the human side of community-building. By leading with heart, fostering social connections, and encouraging community engagement, we firmly believe in creating flourishing and sustainable neighbourhoods that benefit the health and well-being of every individual.

Our sustainability targets

Keyton is committed to benchmarking its sustainability performance. We’ve set targets under all 4 pillars of our sustainability strategy.

Our scorecard

Keyton’s current environmental performance against our targets:

  • 23% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions, compared to our 2019 baseline
  • 10% reduction in potable water consumption since 2021

First Nations commitment

Keyton works across many locations and we honour our responsibility to listen, learn and walk alongside First Nations peoples to ensure the work we do supports their connection to land, waters, cultures, languages and traditions.

We partnered with residents, the First Nations community where we operate and Reconciliation Australia, to develop the Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan that demonstrates these commitments.
