Meet development manager Stephen

Tuesday, 05 March 2024

Stephen is one of the driving forces behind Keyton's development initiatives.

As a company defined by innovation, we are continuously working on exciting new development projects - and it is the development team that make these projects come to life.

We sat down with Stephen to hear more about what it is like to work on development projects, what he likes about his job and what sets Keyton apart from other developers in the market.

What are the most exciting things about working at Keyton?

Firstly, everyday is different - you're never quite sure who you're going to meet or what you will have to work on.

Secondly, and it sounds a bit boring, I think having a leadership team that can make decisions that are right for Keyton as a business is very exciting.

You have worked in the business for a while now. How are you finding the brand change to Keyton?

Refreshing. The new name and brand seems to have given the business a real boost and I feel there is an overriding feeling of empowerment and "can do", almost as if I've changed the company that I work for.

What sets Keyton apart from the rest of the market?

Our values, and in particular, the over-arching "lead with heart". Personally I find this an extremely powerful value and feel it leads the creation of a really fantastic culture within our team. This then translates to how we interact with residents and their families.

What is your favourite thing about your job?

Getting to work with so many different people - village teams, corporate staff, residents, consultants and contractors - on projects that make improvements to our villages, and hopefully ultimately, the resident's lives.
