At Keyton, we believe retirement living should feel welcoming, connected, and reassuring - and our latest resident survey shows that’s exactly what our villages and resorts are delivering.

In 2025, more than 7,100 residents shared what they love about life at Keyton and their feedback highlights a genuine sense of community, confidence and belonging.

Meet Lyn and Jenny, who have not only found their home in Sherwin Rise but also a true sense of belonging, comfort and security, the aspects they value deeply in this vibrant community.  

“I think the first night here I slept better than I did in ages because I knew if I needed somebody there are people around me, so I was really happy with the security.”

Tucked away in the north of Melbourne is Sherwin Rise, a vibrant retirement village that boasts of equally vivacious residents.

93% of residents love the activities and social groups on offer.

The residents living at Keyton are ever so busy – whether they’re getting their hands dirty in the community gardens, exploring their creativity in art classes, knitting away for charity or having a blast playing bowls or other sports with friends.

Keyton’s Ignite Your Passion program provides grants to support resident activities across our villages and resorts. In 2024, we supported 181 projects, each contributing to boosting residents’ wellbeing and making a positive impact across our communities.

Since meeting a year ago, Gaye and Karen have enjoyed many activities and events within the village, as well as outings to catch a show or do some shopping. 

“I’ve got lots of friends, I love my home, and I live in a great area.”

Both Gaye and Karen agree that one of their favourite aspects of Buderim Gardens is the weekly Wednesday night social at the community centre. The centre, which features a bar, lounge, restaurant, media room, library and more, is the heartbeat of the village.
