Menzies Malvern’s restaurant offers convenience
Tuesday, 17 September 2024
Imagine having a cosy restaurant right out front your doorstep, making life easier and much more enjoyable. That’s exactly what you’ll find at Menzies Malvern!
The restaurant called The Residents’ Dining Room, is a place where residents enjoy freshly prepared meals by the talented inhouse chef, Wayde Sedgwick.
For the past seven years, Wayde has been behind the tasty meals at Menzies Malvern, mixing things up with fresh flavours and different options every day. His focus goes beyond just delivering quality food to residents, he also builds a strong connection with the community. But it’s not just about the food — the restaurant is a warm, welcoming space that encourages residents to gather, chat, play cards and enjoy some good company.
Evenings come alive
The Residents' Dining Room comes alive every evening at 6:30 pm from Monday to Friday. With a warm, vibrant atmosphere, it turns into the perfect spot for unwinding after a busy day and catching up with friends over a shared dinner.
Fridays bring an extra dose of fun with Happy Hour at the resident-managed bar. It’s the highlight of the week, with the mix of drinks and lively conversations making it a favourite spot to mingle with your neighbours.
Mealtimes made easy
Every Friday, the dining room posts its weekly menu, giving residents a sneak peek at the meals coming up for the following week. With a rotating menu, there’s always something new to try. Residents can look forward to a variety of enticing options. Starters may include smoked salmon and marinated chicken wings, while the main courses feature choices like beer-battered fish, grilled eye fillet and Asian-inspired dishes such as satay beef or honey soy chicken. Dessert options include ice cream, fruit salad and pavlova. They can choose from one- to three-course meals.
Meals are pre-ordered 48 hours in advance, allowing the kitchen team to prepare everything fresh and with care. This ensures that the food is delivered on time and made just the way residents like it. Gluten-free options and other dietary needs are also catered for. For those preferring a cosy night in, room service can deliver meals right to their doorstep, so they don’t have to come to the dining area to enjoy their food.
Private celebrations
For those special occasions, residents can reserve The Stonnington Room at the restaurant — a private space to host up to 20 guests for birthdays, anniversaries or just a fun get-together. Residents can pre-order meals for lunch and dinner and enjoy a relaxed, hassle-free celebration.
Whether you are in the mood for a casual dinner with friends, celebrating something special or just looking for a cosy place to hang out, The Residents' Dining Room at Menzies Malvern has it all. The best part? You don’t even have to leave your doorstep!
